Abstract
This thesis presents a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of waste management practices in reducing environmental pollution. The escalating levels of environmental pollution around the world have brought waste management to the forefront of sustainability efforts. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of waste management practices on mitigating environmental pollution and to identify areas for improvement in current waste management strategies. The research methodology employed a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches to collect and analyze data. A detailed literature review was conducted to examine existing waste management practices and their effectiveness in reducing environmental pollution. The study also involved field surveys, interviews with key stakeholders, and analysis of relevant statistical data to assess the current state of waste management systems. The findings of the study revealed that while significant progress has been made in waste management practices, there are still challenges that need to be addressed. The research identified key factors influencing the effectiveness of waste management, including public awareness, technological advancements, policy frameworks, and stakeholder engagement. It was observed that proper segregation, recycling, and disposal of waste play a crucial role in minimizing environmental pollution.
