This thesis aims to assess the impact of climate change on coastal ecosystems and develop adaptation strategies to mitigate these effects. The study focuses on understanding how climate change factors such as sea-level rise, ocean acidification, and extreme weather events are affecting coastal ecosystems, with a specific emphasis on biodiversity loss, habitat degradation, and changes in ecosystem services. Through a comprehensive literature review, this research synthesizes existing knowledge on the topic and identifies key gaps in understanding the specific impacts of climate change on coastal ecosystems.
