Plastic waste management has emerged as a pressing environmental issue globally, particularly in urban environments where rapid population growth and industrialization have led to increased plastic consumption and disposal. This thesis presents an in-depth assessment of plastic waste management strategies in urban environments, focusing on the challenges, opportunities, and best practices for sustainable plastic waste management. The research methodology includes a comprehensive literature review, qualitative and quantitative data collection methods, and analysis of case studies from diverse urban settings. The introduction section sets the context for the study by discussing the background of plastic waste management, highlighting the problem statement of inadequate waste management practices, and outlining the objectives of the research.
