The management of waste in urban areas is a critical environmental issue that requires sustainable solutions to mitigate its negative impacts on the environment and public health. This thesis focuses on the implementation of sustainable waste management practices in urban areas to address the challenges associated with increasing waste generation and inadequate waste disposal systems. The study aims to analyze current waste management practices, identify key issues, propose sustainable solutions, and assess the feasibility and effectiveness of implementing these solutions in urban settings. The research begins with an introduction that provides a background of the study, highlights the problem statement, outlines the objectives, discusses the limitations and scope of the study, emphasizes the significance of the research, and presents the structure of the thesis.
