Abstract
This thesis investigates the Assessment of Sustainable Land Use Planning Strategies for Effective Environmental Management. The study aims to address the pressing need for sustainable land use practices to mitigate environmental degradation and promote long-term environmental preservation. The research is motivated by the increasing challenges posed by rapid urbanization, industrialization, and population growth that have resulted in significant land use changes and environmental impacts. Chapter one provides an introduction to the study, outlining the background of the research, the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. Chapter two presents a comprehensive literature review that examines existing knowledge on sustainable land use planning strategies, environmental management practices, and their interconnections. The literature review explores ten critical themes related to sustainable land use planning and environmental management. Chapter three details the research methodology employed in this study, including research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, and ethical considerations. The methodology section consists of eight key components that guide the empirical investigation of sustainable land use planning strategies and their impact on effective environmental management. Chapter four presents an elaborate discussion of the findings obtained from the empirical research.
