It analyzes existing carbon credit markets and case studies of PES initiatives around the world. The feasibility of a locally-based carbon offset program is assessed, outlining the key design considerations and stakeholders that would need to be engaged. The project concludes that a well-designed PES scheme could help meet climate change mitigation targets while supporting sustainable land management practices.<br><br></p>
