The research delves into a diverse range of literary texts from different regions of Africa, exploring how authors navigate complex issues of gender identity, sexuality, and societal expectations through their storytelling. Through a comprehensive analysis of selected works, this study aims to shed light on the nuanced and multifaceted ways in which gender is constructed and deconstructed in African literature. The introduction sets the stage by providing a brief overview of the research topic, highlighting the significance of studying gender representation in the context of African literature.
