Through a close analysis of key texts, the study delves into the ways in which African writers challenge, reinforce, or subvert gender stereotypes and expectations. The introductory chapter sets the stage by presenting the background of the study, outlining the problem statement, and defining the objectives, limitations, and scope of the research.
