Abstract
The project aims to investigate the impact of social media on mental health among adolescents. Social media has become an integral part of daily life for many individuals, especially teenagers who are heavy users of various platforms. The study will focus on understanding how the use of social media platforms such as Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook can influence the mental well-being of adolescents. The research will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys with qualitative interviews to gather comprehensive data on the subject. The quantitative surveys will assess the frequency and duration of social media use, as well as the types of content consumed by adolescents. These surveys will also include standardized mental health assessments to measure anxiety, depression, and self-esteem levels among participants. In addition, qualitative interviews will be conducted with a subset of participants to gain deeper insights into their perceptions and experiences with social media.
