Abstract
This research project aims to investigate the impact of social media on mental health among young adults. In recent years, social media platforms have become an integral part of daily life for many individuals, especially the younger generation. While social media offers numerous benefits such as enhanced communication and connectivity, there is growing concern about its potential negative effects on mental health. The study will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather comprehensive data. The quantitative surveys will assess the frequency and duration of social media use, as well as the participants' self-reported mental health status. The qualitative interviews will delve deeper into the participants' experiences with social media and its perceived impact on their mental well-being. By analyzing the data collected through surveys and interviews, the research aims to identify potential correlations between social media usage patterns and mental health outcomes among young adults.
