Abstract
This research project investigates the impact of social media on mental health among adolescents. Social media has become an integral part of the daily lives of adolescents, with the potential to influence their mental well-being. The study aims to explore how social media usage patterns, content exposure, and online interactions can affect the mental health of teenagers. The research methodology includes a comprehensive literature review, surveys, and interviews with adolescents to gather data on their social media habits and mental health status. The findings suggest that excessive use of social media platforms, exposure to negative content, cyberbullying, and comparison with others can contribute to increased levels of stress, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem among adolescents.
