Abstract
This research project investigates the effects of mindfulness meditation on stress reduction and emotional well-being among college students. The study aims to explore the potential benefits of incorporating mindfulness practices into the daily routines of college students to help them cope with academic pressures and improve their overall mental health. A mixed-methods approach will be utilized, including quantitative measures such as pre- and post-intervention surveys to assess changes in stress levels and emotional well-being, as well as qualitative interviews to gather in-depth insights into the participants' experiences with mindfulness meditation. The research will involve a sample of college students who will participate in a structured mindfulness meditation program over a period of several weeks. Data analysis will focus on identifying any significant changes in stress levels, emotional well-being, and coping mechanisms before and after the intervention. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the growing body of research on the benefits of mindfulness meditation in educational settings and provide practical recommendations for promoting student well-being on college campuses.
