The research project aims to investigate the impact of social media on mental health among adolescents. Social media has become an integral part of young people's lives, with platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat being widely used for communication and social interaction. However, concerns have been raised about the potential negative effects of excessive social media use on mental well-being. The study will utilize a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather data from adolescents aged 13-18. The quantitative surveys will assess the frequency and duration of social media use, as well as the participants' self-reported mental health status. The qualitative interviews will provide deeper insights into the ways in which social media affects the participants' emotions, self-esteem, and relationships. By analyzing the data collected, the research aims to identify patterns and correlations between social media use and mental health outcomes.
