Abstract
The topic of this thesis is "The Impact of Foreign Direct Investment on Economic Growth in Developing Countries." The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between foreign direct investment (FDI) and economic growth in developing countries, with a focus on identifying the key factors that influence this relationship. The study seeks to provide insights into the potential benefits and challenges associated with FDI inflows in developing economies, and to propose policy recommendations for maximizing the positive impact of FDI on economic growth. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the research topic, including background information on FDI and economic growth, the problem statement, objectives of the study, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms. Chapter 2 consists of a comprehensive literature review that examines existing research and theories on the relationship between FDI and economic growth in developing countries. The review covers various aspects such as the impact of FDI on employment, technology transfer, productivity, and export performance. Chapter 3 outlines the research methodology, including the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, and analytical tools used in the study. The chapter also discusses the variables and hypotheses tested to analyze the impact of FDI on economic growth in developing countries.
