The efficacy of topical treatments for acne vulgaris has been a subject of interest among dermatologists and researchers. This comparative study aims to investigate the effectiveness of different topical treatments in managing acne vulgaris and to provide evidence-based recommendations for clinical practice. The study will begin with a comprehensive review of the literature on acne vulgaris, including its etiology, pathogenesis, and classification. This review will also cover the available topical treatments for acne vulgaris, such as benzoyl peroxide, retinoids, salicylic acid, and antibiotics, highlighting their mechanisms of action and reported efficacy. The research methodology will involve a comparative analysis of the efficacy of these topical treatments through a randomized controlled trial involving a sample of acne vulgaris patients. The study will assess the outcomes of treatment in terms of reduction in inflammatory and non-inflammatory lesions, improvement in overall skin appearance, and patient satisfaction.
