Abstract
Acne vulgaris is a common skin condition that affects individuals of all ages, leading to physical and psychological distress. Topical treatments are often the first-line therapy for acne vulgaris due to their convenience and effectiveness. However, the efficacy of different topical treatments in managing acne vulgaris remains a topic of debate. This study aims to investigate the efficacy of various topical treatments for acne vulgaris through a comparative analysis. The introductory chapter provides an overview of the research background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance of the study, and the structure of the thesis. The literature review chapter critically evaluates existing research on topical treatments for acne vulgaris, highlighting their mechanisms of action, effectiveness, and side effects. The methodology chapter outlines the research design, participants, data collection methods, and statistical analysis techniques employed in this study. The findings chapter presents a detailed discussion of the results obtained from the comparative analysis of different topical treatments for acne vulgaris. The efficacy, safety, and tolerability of each treatment are evaluated based on clinical outcomes and patient-reported measures. Factors influencing treatment response, such as age, gender, and acne severity, are also explored.
