Acne vulgaris is a common skin condition affecting a significant portion of the population, particularly adolescents and young adults. The conventional treatment options for acne often involve the use of topical and oral medications, which may have side effects and limitations. In recent years, there has been growing interest in exploring alternative and complementary treatment modalities, including herbal remedies, for managing acne. This thesis aims to investigate the efficacy of topical herbal remedies in treating acne vulgaris. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and structure of the thesis. The chapter also includes definitions of key terms relevant to the study.
