Thesis Abstract

<p> This project focuses on enhancing crop adaptation to changing climatic conditions, particularly in the context of global climate change. As agricultural systems face increasing challenges from extreme weather events, rising temperatures, and shifting precipitation patterns, there is a critical need to develop crop varieties that can thrive under these conditions. The project will investigate strategies for improving crop resilience to heat stress, drought, flooding, and other climate-related challenges through breeding, biotechnological approaches, and agronomic practices. Additionally, the socio-economic implications of climate-resilient crop production will be examined. The outcomes of this research will contribute to the development of climate-smart agricultural practices and resilient food systems. <br></p>
