This research project delves into the complex dynamics of Hezbollah, a prominent Lebanese political and militant group. The study aims to critically analyze the sources of authority, legitimacy, and violence within Hezbollah, with a focus on rethinking traditional perspectives on the organization. Through a multidimensional approach, the research explores the historical evolution of Hezbollah, its ideological foundations, organizational structure, and strategic decision-making processes. One key aspect of the research is to examine how Hezbollah has navigated various internal and external challenges to maintain its authority and legitimacy among its supporters and detractors. By delving into the group's social and political context in Lebanon, the study seeks to uncover the mechanisms through which Hezbollah has consolidated power and influence over time. Moreover, the research analyzes the role of violence within the organization, including its use in armed conflict, deterrence strategies, and political coercion.
