Co-operative societies play a crucial role in fostering socio-economic development in rural communities by promoting collective action and empowering local residents. This thesis aims to assess the impact of co-operative societies on socio-economic development in rural communities. The study provides a comprehensive analysis of the various ways in which co-operatives contribute to the economic growth, social well-being, and overall development of rural areas. Through a combination of literature review, qualitative and quantitative research methods, this research explores the significance of co-operative societies in driving positive change in rural communities.
