Thesis Abstract

This project aims to investigate the effectiveness of a concept-based curriculum in teaching chemistry. The study will explore the impact of organizing the chemistry curriculum around key concepts and principles, rather than traditional topic-based approaches. The research will involve assessing student learning outcomes, engagement, and retention of knowledge in a concept-based chemistry curriculum compared to a traditional curriculum. The findings of this study will provide valuable insights into the potential benefits of adopting a concept-based approach in chemistry education
