Climate change poses a significant threat to global biodiversity, including plant species that play crucial roles in ecosystem functioning. Understanding how plants adapt to changing environmental conditions is essential for predicting their survival and resilience in the face of ongoing climate change. This thesis aims to explore the effects of climate change on plant adaptation strategies, focusing on how various plant species respond to environmental stressors such as changing temperatures, precipitation patterns, and extreme weather events. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, offering a background of the study that highlights the importance of plant adaptation in the context of climate change. The problem statement emphasizes the urgency of studying plant responses to climate change, while the objectives of the study outline the specific research goals and questions. The limitations and scope of the study are also discussed, along with the significance of the research and an overview of the thesis structure.
