Thesis Abstract

This project aims to study the effects of different plant breeding techniques on crop flavor. Crop flavor is a complex trait influenced by various genetic and environmental factors. Plant breeding techniques, such as traditional breeding, genetic modification, and genome editing, can be used to improve crop flavor. The project will involve comparing the flavor profiles of crops derived from different breeding techniques and evaluating their sensory attributes, volatile compound composition, and consumer preferences. The findings will provide insights into the potential of different breeding techniques in enhancing crop flavor and consumer acceptance
