Thesis Abstract

<p> This project aims to study the impact of plant invasions on ecosystem functioning. Invasive plant species can significantly alter ecosystem dynamics, affecting nutrient cycling, species composition, and overall ecosystem productivity. Understanding the mechanisms underlying these impacts is crucial for effective invasive species management and ecosystem restoration. This study will investigate the ecological interactions between invasive plants and native species, focusing on their effects on soil properties, plant community structure, and ecosystem processes. Field surveys, experimental manipulations, and data analysis will be employed to assess the ecological consequences of plant invasions. The findings will contribute to our understanding of the ecological impacts of invasive species and inform conservation strategies. <br></p>
