Thesis Abstract

This project aims to investigate the effects of different pruning techniques on tree architecture. Pruning is a common horticultural practice used to shape and maintain the desired form of trees. However, the impact of pruning techniques on tree architecture is not well understood. This study will compare the effects of various pruning methods, including crown reduction, crown thinning, and selective pruning, on tree structure and growth. The research will involve measuring and analyzing parameters such as tree height, crown diameter, branch distribution, and overall tree form. The findings will contribute to a better understanding of how pruning techniques influence tree architecture and provide insights for optimizing pruning practices in arboriculture.
