Thesis Abstract

This project aims to examine the impact of exchange rate misalignment on international trade flows. Exchange rate misalignment occurs when the actual exchange rate deviates from its equilibrium level, leading to distortions in trade patterns. The project will analyze the relationship between exchange rate misalignment and trade imbalances using empirical data from different countries. It will also investigate the channels through which exchange rate misalignment affects trade, such as price competitiveness and trade policy responses. The findings of this research will contribute to a better understanding of the implications of exchange rate misalignment for international trade and provide insights for policymakers.
