Abstract
This thesis investigates the integration of sustainable design principles in urban development projects through a comprehensive case study analysis. The study aims to explore the challenges and opportunities associated with incorporating sustainability concepts into urban development practices, with a focus on enhancing environmental, social, and economic aspects of urban spaces. The research methodology involves a qualitative approach, utilizing case study analysis and in-depth interviews with key stakeholders in the urban development sector. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. Chapter Two conducts a thorough literature review covering ten key areas related to sustainable design principles, urban development practices, and case study analysis methodologies. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, detailing the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis approaches, ethical considerations, and validity and reliability issues.
