This thesis investigates the application of sustainable design principles in the context of urban housing development. Sustainable design is increasingly recognized as a key strategy for addressing environmental challenges and promoting social equity in the built environment. The focus of this study is to explore how sustainable design principles can be integrated into the planning and design of urban housing developments to create more resilient and livable communities. The research begins by providing an overview of the background of sustainable design and its relevance to urban housing development. The problem statement highlights the need for sustainable approaches to address the environmental impacts of urbanization and meet the growing demand for affordable and high-quality housing in cities.
