Archaeological sites have long been recognized as significant cultural heritage assets that attract tourists and contribute to the development of tourism in various regions. This thesis explores the impact of archaeological sites on tourism development through a case study approach. The study focuses on a specific archaeological site and examines how its preservation, promotion, and interpretation influence tourism activities and local economies. The research begins with an introduction detailing the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and structure of the thesis. A comprehensive literature review is conducted in Chapter Two, covering ten key aspects related to the impact of archaeological sites on tourism development.
