This thesis investigates the impact of archaeological sites on tourism development in a selected region, aiming to provide a comprehensive understanding of how these historical sites contribute to the growth and sustainability of tourism. The selected region serves as a case study to explore the significance of archaeological sites in attracting tourists, preserving cultural heritage, and enhancing the overall tourism experience. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative research methods to gather data from various sources, including site visits, surveys, interviews, and statistical analysis. Chapter One introduces the research topic, providing background information on the relationship between archaeology and tourism. It presents the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance of the study, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two conducts a comprehensive literature review, analyzing existing studies on the impact of archaeological sites on tourism development, identifying key factors influencing tourist behavior, and exploring best practices in heritage tourism management.
