The intersection of archaeology and tourism presents a unique opportunity to understand the impact of historical and cultural heritage on tourism development. This thesis investigates the relationship between archaeological sites and tourism, focusing on how these sites influence tourist behavior and destination development. Through a case study approach, the research explores the significance of archaeological sites in attracting tourists, enhancing visitor experiences, and contributing to local economies. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the study, including the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and key definitions. The literature review in Chapter 2 examines ten key themes related to archaeology, tourism, heritage management, sustainable tourism practices, and visitor motivations. Chapter 3 details the research methodology, encompassing the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, and data analysis procedures. This chapter also discusses ethical considerations, limitations, and the reliability and validity of the research findings.
