Abstract
This thesis investigates the effects of various dietary supplements on the growth performance and immune response of broiler chickens. The poultry industry plays a crucial role in providing a sustainable source of protein for human consumption, and optimizing the health and productivity of broiler chickens is essential for efficient production. The use of dietary supplements has gained popularity as a strategy to enhance growth performance and immune function in poultry. However, the effectiveness and safety of these supplements need to be thoroughly evaluated to ensure their beneficial impact on broiler chickens. The study begins with a comprehensive review of the literature on the topic, highlighting the importance of nutrition in poultry production and the potential benefits of dietary supplements for improving growth performance and immune response in broiler chickens. Various types of dietary supplements, including vitamins, minerals, probiotics, and herbal extracts, are discussed in detail to provide a deeper understanding of their mechanisms of action and potential effects on broiler health. The research methodology section outlines the experimental design, including the selection and management of broiler chickens, dietary supplementation protocols, data collection methods, and statistical analysis techniques. The study aims to assess the impact of different dietary supplements on growth parameters such as body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and carcass characteristics, as well as immune response indicators like antibody titers and cytokine levels. The findings from the study are presented and discussed in Chapter Four, highlighting the effects of various dietary supplements on the growth performance and immune response of broiler chickens.
