Abstract
The poultry industry plays a crucial role in meeting the ever-increasing demand for animal protein worldwide. Among poultry species, broiler chickens are the most commonly raised for meat production. The growth performance of broiler chickens is influenced by various factors, with nutrition being a key determinant. This study aimed to investigate the effects of different feeding regimes on the growth performance of broiler chickens. The research was conducted over a specified period, during which broiler chickens were subjected to various feeding regimes to assess their impact on growth parameters. Chapter one provides an introduction to the study, highlighting the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of terms. The literature review in chapter two covers ten key aspects related to broiler nutrition, growth performance, and different feeding strategies. This section synthesizes existing knowledge and identifies gaps that the current study aims to address. Chapter three details the research methodology employed, including aspects such as the experimental design, sample size determination, data collection methods, feeding regimes implemented, and statistical analysis techniques utilized. The findings of the study are extensively discussed in chapter four, focusing on the growth performance metrics observed under different feeding regimes. The results are analyzed and interpreted to draw meaningful conclusions.
