The poultry industry plays a significant role in meeting the global demand for high-quality protein sources. Maintaining optimal gut health in poultry is essential for ensuring overall bird health and productivity. Probiotics have gained attention as a potential natural solution to improve gut health and performance in poultry production systems. This thesis aims to investigate the impact of probiotics on gut health in poultry production and evaluate their effectiveness in enhancing performance and disease resistance in poultry. Chapter One provides an introduction to the study, presenting the background of the research, the problem statement, objectives of the study, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms related to the research topic. The literature review in Chapter Two explores ten key studies and findings related to probiotics and gut health in poultry production, highlighting the current knowledge and gaps in the existing literature. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology employed in this study, including research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, experimental procedures, and data analysis techniques. The chapter also discusses ethical considerations and limitations of the research methodology. In Chapter Four, the findings of the study are extensively discussed, presenting the impact of probiotics on gut health parameters, performance metrics, and disease resistance in poultry.
