Abstract
The poultry industry plays a vital role in meeting the growing demand for animal protein worldwide. One key aspect of poultry production is the use of feed supplements to enhance the growth performance of broiler chickens. This study aimed to investigate the effect of different feed supplements on the growth performance of broiler chickens. The research was conducted over a period of six months, involving a total of 300 broiler chickens divided into five treatment groups receiving different feed supplements. The growth performance parameters assessed included body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate. The findings revealed significant variations in the growth performance of broiler chickens across the different treatment groups. Broilers receiving specific feed supplements exhibited improved body weight gain and feed conversion ratio compared to those in the control group. Moreover, the mortality rate was lower in certain treatment groups, indicating a potential health benefit associated with the feed supplements. In terms of feed intake, there were differences observed among the treatment groups, suggesting variations in palatability and nutrient utilization. The results of this study provide valuable insights into the impact of feed supplements on the growth performance of broiler chickens and highlight the potential for optimizing poultry production practices. Overall, this research contributes to the existing knowledge on poultry nutrition and provides practical recommendations for poultry farmers and feed manufacturers to enhance the growth performance of broiler chickens through the strategic use of feed supplements. The findings underscore the importance of tailored nutrition strategies in maximizing the productivity and profitability of poultry production systems.
