Abstract
The poultry industry plays a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for high-quality protein sources worldwide. Broiler chickens, in particular, are raised intensively for meat production, necessitating the optimization of growth performance and immune function to ensure profitability and sustainability. This study investigates the effects of dietary supplements on these key parameters in broiler chickens. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of terms. Chapter 2 presents a comprehensive literature review, covering ten relevant items related to dietary supplements, growth performance, and immune function in broiler chickens. Chapter 3 details the research methodology, including the experimental design, sample collection, dietary supplement formulation, feeding trial duration, data collection methods, statistical analysis, and ethical considerations. Chapter 4 presents a detailed discussion of the findings, analyzing the effects of dietary supplements on growth performance indicators such as body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and immune function parameters like antibody titers and cytokine levels. The results revealed that dietary supplements positively influenced growth performance and immune function in broiler chickens, with improvements observed in body weight gain, feed efficiency, and immune response markers.
