Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to investigate the role of agricultural education in promoting integrated pest management (IPM) practices. IPM is a sustainable approach to pest control that combines various strategies, such as biological control, cultural practices, and judicious use of pesticides, to minimize the negative impacts of pests on agricultural crops. Agricultural education plays a crucial role in disseminating knowledge and training farmers on the principles and practices of IPM. However, the effectiveness of agricultural education in promoting IPM adoption and its impact on pest management outcomes remain underexplored. This study will examine the current state of agricultural education programs related to IPM, assess farmers' knowledge and awareness of IPM practices, and evaluate the extent to which agricultural education influences IPM adoption. By conducting surveys, interviews, and field observations, this research will provide valuable insights into the role of agricultural education in promoting sustainable pest management practices. The findings of this study will contribute to the development of effective educational strategies and policies to enhance IPM adoption among farmers
