Agricultural lands in many parts of the world are facing degradation due to unsustainable practices. There is a need to adopt land use systems that promote ecological restoration while ensuring food and livelihood security for farmers. Agroforestry and silvi-pastoral models are alternative land use practices that integrate trees and livestock rearing with crop production. This study aims to analyze different agroforestry and silvi-pastoral models suitable for smallholder farms in [LOCATION]. Various models will be evaluated based on their impact on soil and water conservation, biodiversity promotion, carbon sequestration potential, and economic returns. Recommendations will be provided for widespread adoption of suitable alternative land use systems as part of climate-smart agriculture.
