Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of mobile technology on agricultural extension services in rural communities. The integration of mobile technology in agricultural extension services has the potential to revolutionize the way information is disseminated to farmers, ultimately improving agricultural productivity and livelihoods in rural areas. The study focuses on assessing the effectiveness of mobile technology in enhancing the delivery of agricultural extension services, identifying challenges and limitations faced in its implementation, and exploring the implications for sustainable agricultural development in rural communities. The research methodology employed a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with key stakeholders involved in agricultural extension services. The study involved a sample of farmers, extension workers, and technology providers in rural communities, capturing diverse perspectives on the use of mobile technology in agricultural extension. The findings reveal that mobile technology has significantly improved the accessibility and timeliness of agricultural information for farmers, leading to increased adoption of improved agricultural practices and technologies.
