Abstract
Climate change is a critical global issue that has significant implications for agricultural production and food security. This study aims to assess the economic impact of climate change on agricultural production, focusing on the challenges and opportunities it presents to farmers and policymakers. The research methodology involved a comprehensive literature review, data collection, and analysis of primary and secondary data sources. Chapter one provides an introduction to the study, outlining the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of terms. Chapter two presents a detailed literature review, covering ten key areas related to climate change, agriculture, and economic impacts. The review synthesizes existing knowledge and identifies gaps in the literature. Chapter three describes the research methodology, including research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, and ethical considerations. The chapter also discusses the limitations and challenges encountered during the research process. In chapter four, the findings of the study are presented and discussed in detail. The economic impact of climate change on agricultural production is analyzed, considering factors such as crop yields, input costs, market prices, and farmer adaptation strategies. The chapter also explores the implications of these findings for agricultural policy and practice. Finally, chapter five offers a conclusion and summary of the project thesis.
