Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of terms. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review encompassing ten key areas related to online learning in adult education, including theories of adult learning, online learning platforms, adult education methodologies, and more. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, detailing the research design, sampling methods, data collection techniques, data analysis procedures, ethical considerations, and limitations. The chapter also discusses the selection criteria for adult learners participating in the study and the comparative analysis framework used to evaluate the effectiveness of online learning. In Chapter Four, the findings of the study are analyzed and discussed in detail.
