The emergence of social media platforms has revolutionized the way organizations conduct fundraising activities. This research project aims to explore the perception of fund-raising on social media among different stakeholders including donors, non-profit organizations, and the general public. The study will investigate the effectiveness of utilizing social media for fundraising campaigns, the factors that influence individuals to donate through social media platforms, and the impact of social media on donor engagement and trust. Through a mixed-methods approach, data will be collected through surveys, interviews, and content analysis of fundraising campaigns on popular social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. The survey will gather quantitative data on donors' behaviors, attitudes, and preferences towards fund-raising on social media, while interviews will provide in-depth insights into the motivations and perceptions of donors and non-profit organizations. The content analysis will focus on identifying common themes, strategies, and messaging used in successful fundraising campaigns on social media. By analyzing the content of these campaigns, the research aims to uncover best practices and strategies that can enhance the effectiveness of fund-raising efforts on social media platforms. The findings of this research project are expected to contribute to the existing literature on social media marketing and fundraising by providing valuable insights into the perception and effectiveness of fund-raising on social media. The results will help non-profit organizations to better understand donors' preferences and behaviors on social media, enabling them to design more targeted and successful fundraising campaigns. Additionally, the study will shed light on the factors that influence individuals to donate through social media platforms, helping organizations to optimize their fundraising strategies. Overall, this research project seeks to advance our understanding of the role of social media in fundraising activities and provide practical recommendations for non-profit organizations looking to leverage social media for their fundraising efforts.
