Climate change has become a significant global concern, affecting various ecosystems and biodiversity worldwide. Coral reef ecosystems, known for their high biodiversity and ecological importance, are particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. This research project aims to investigate the specific impacts of climate change on marine biodiversity in coral reef ecosystems. Through a comprehensive literature review, field research, and data analysis, this study examines the current state of coral reefs and the key factors contributing to their decline in the face of climate change. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of terms. Chapter Two conducts a detailed literature review, focusing on ten key aspects related to the impact of climate change on marine biodiversity in coral reef ecosystems. These aspects include ocean acidification, coral bleaching, sea level rise, temperature increase, and impacts on marine species diversity. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, detailing the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, and ethical considerations. This chapter also describes the study area, research participants, and tools used for data collection and analysis. Chapter Four presents the findings of the research, discussing seven key outcomes related to the impact of climate change on marine biodiversity in coral reef ecosystems. The findings highlight the specific challenges faced by coral reefs and marine species due to climate change, emphasizing the urgent need for conservation and mitigation efforts. In Chapter Five, the conclusion and summary of the research project are provided, highlighting the key findings, implications, recommendations, and future research directions. This research contributes to the existing body of knowledge on the impact of climate change on marine biodiversity in coral reef ecosystems, emphasizing the importance of conservation measures and sustainable management practices to protect these valuable ecosystems.
