This research project aims to investigate the impact of climate change on Arctic ecosystems, focusing on the adaptation of polar bears as a flagship species. The study will explore how changes in climate, such as rising temperatures, melting sea ice, and alterations in food availability, are influencing the behavior, distribution, and survival of polar bears in the Arctic region. The research will employ a multidisciplinary approach, integrating data from field studies, satellite tracking, molecular genetics, and ecological modeling to provide a comprehensive analysis of the adaptation strategies employed by polar bears in response to changing environmental conditions.
