Project Abstract

ABSTRACT This research project aimed to investigate the effectiveness of probiotics in treating gastrointestinal disorders in dogs. The study focused on understanding how probiotics can be utilized as a potential treatment option for various gastrointestinal issues commonly observed in canines. The research methodology involved a comprehensive literature review to examine existing studies and evidence supporting the use of probiotics in veterinary medicine. Chapter One of the study provided an introduction to the research topic, background information on probiotics, the problem statement highlighting the prevalence of gastrointestinal disorders in dogs, the objectives of the study, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the research, and definition of key terms. Chapter Two consisted of a detailed literature review, exploring previous research on the use of probiotics in managing gastrointestinal disorders in dogs. The review encompassed various aspects such as the mechanisms of probiotics, types of probiotic strains, dosage, and administration methods, as well as reported outcomes and potential benefits. Chapter Three outlined the research methodology adopted for this study, including the research design, data collection methods, sample selection criteria, experimental procedures, data analysis techniques, and ethical considerations. The chapter aimed to provide a transparent and systematic approach to investigating the effectiveness of probiotics in treating gastrointestinal disorders in dogs. In Chapter Four, the discussion of findings was presented, analyzing the results obtained from the research study. The chapter delved into the outcomes of administering probiotics to dogs with gastrointestinal issues, comparing the effectiveness of probiotic treatment against traditional methods, identifying any observed improvements in clinical symptoms, and discussing potential challenges or limitations encountered during the study. Finally, Chapter Five encapsulated the conclusion and summary of the project research.
