This research project investigates the efficacy of probiotics in managing gastrointestinal disorders in dogs. Probiotics are live microorganisms that, when administered in adequate amounts, confer health benefits to the host. The use of probiotics in managing gastrointestinal disorders in dogs has gained attention in recent years, but more research is needed to understand their effectiveness and optimal use in this context. The research begins with a comprehensive review of the literature on probiotics and gastrointestinal disorders in dogs. This literature review covers topics such as the mechanisms of action of probiotics, the types of probiotic strains used in dogs, and the evidence supporting their use in managing gastrointestinal disorders. The review also examines the potential benefits and limitations of probiotics in this context. The research methodology involves a randomized controlled trial to evaluate the efficacy of a specific probiotic formulation in managing gastrointestinal disorders in dogs. The study includes a sample of dogs with confirmed gastrointestinal disorders, which are randomly assigned to receive either the probiotic formulation or a placebo.
