Telemedicine has emerged as a promising tool in various fields of healthcare, including veterinary medicine. This research project aims to investigate the efficacy of telemedicine in veterinary care through a comparative study. The study will compare traditional in-person veterinary consultations with telemedicine consultations to assess the effectiveness, efficiency, and client satisfaction associated with each approach. The research will be conducted using a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. A sample of veterinary clinics will be selected for participation in the study, with a portion offering telemedicine services and the remainder providing only in-person consultations. Data will be collected on various parameters such as diagnosis accuracy, treatment effectiveness, consultation duration, client response time, and overall client satisfaction. In the literature review, the project will explore existing studies on telemedicine in veterinary care, highlighting its potential benefits and limitations. Key themes such as remote monitoring, teleconsultations, and teletriage will be discussed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. The research methodology will involve data collection through surveys, interviews, and observational studies. Data analysis will be conducted using statistical tools to compare the outcomes of telemedicine consultations with traditional in-person visits. Factors such as cost-effectiveness, accessibility, and convenience will also be considered in the analysis. The findings from the comparative study will be discussed in detail in the results chapter. The discussion will focus on the strengths and weaknesses of telemedicine in veterinary care, as well as the implications for both veterinary professionals and pet owners.
