Gastrointestinal disorders are common health issues in dogs, affecting their overall well-being and quality of life. Probiotics have gained attention for their potential therapeutic benefits in managing such disorders. This research project focuses on investigating the effectiveness of probiotics in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders in dogs. The study aims to provide insights into the impact of probiotic supplementation on gastrointestinal health and associated clinical outcomes in dogs. The research design involves a comprehensive literature review to establish the background and rationale for using probiotics in managing gastrointestinal disorders in dogs. Various probiotic strains, mechanisms of action, and evidence from previous studies will be critically analyzed to understand their potential benefits. Additionally, the project will include a systematic review of clinical trials and case studies that have evaluated the efficacy of probiotics in treating gastrointestinal disorders in dogs. Methodologically, this research will employ a randomized controlled trial design to investigate the effects of probiotics on dogs with diagnosed gastrointestinal disorders. The study will involve a sample of dogs with different breeds, ages, and severity of gastrointestinal symptoms. The dogs will be divided into treatment and control groups, with the treatment group receiving probiotic supplementation while the control group receives a placebo.
