Transit-oriented development (TOD) has emerged as a promising strategy to promote sustainable urban development by focusing on creating vibrant, mixed-use communities around public transportation hubs. This research project aims to assess the impact of transit-oriented development on urban sustainability through a detailed case study analysis. The study focuses on a specific urban area where TOD initiatives have been implemented and evaluates their effectiveness in achieving sustainability goals. The research begins with an introduction that provides a background of transit-oriented development and its significance in promoting sustainable urban growth. The problem statement highlights the need to evaluate the actual impact of TOD initiatives on urban sustainability metrics.
