Project Abstract

This project aims to delve into the complex interplay between cultural identity and generational dynamics, shedding light on how these two influential factors shape individual and collective experiences. In an increasingly globalized world, understanding the nuances of cultural identity and how it is transmitted, transformed, and negotiated across generations has become increasingly crucial. The project will explore how cultural elements, such as traditions, values, and beliefs, are passed down, adapted, and sometimes even rejected by successive generations. It will investigate the ways in which younger generations navigate the tension between preserving their cultural heritage and embracing new societal influences, and how this process impacts their sense of identity and belonging. It will examine how the perspectives, priorities, and lived experiences of individuals from different age cohorts influence the way they engage with and interpret their cultural backgrounds.
